My artistic practice unfolds through sculpture and installation. Materiality plays an important role in my work and often determines both the process and the outcome. Many of my works explore the translation of one state into another: movement into form, an event into its trace, or making the invisible perceptible. I am particularly interested in imprints, negative forms and other ways of grasping the ephemeral. For me, this is where signifié and signifiant, action, subject and object, or the concrete and the abstract become closely intertwined.
